Cross City

The Cross City is a suburban railway line predominantly in the West Midlands region of England running from Redditch in Worcestershire to Lichfield in Staffordshire via Birmingham New Street where it meets the West Coast Main Line (WCML).

In the early 1990’s the old diesel multiple units were replaced by the Class 323 electric multiple unit to coincide with the electrification of the route, and by 1995 the Class 323 was
operating exclusively on this line.

Cross City is the second of our West Coast Express series, and features all 24 stations along the route. Despite the Class 323 operating solely on this line we have also included other locomotives for you to enjoy using with Cross City:

• Class 220 Voyager
• Class 43 HST Network Measurement Train
• Class 390 EMU

There are 10 activities to complete with an array of difficulty levels and set in different seasons of the year, they have been carefully planned to include both passenger and freight tasks.

Cross City can run independently from our West Coast Express route but we recommend having West Coast Express to maximise your enjoyment of the route and achieve fulfilment of the activities.
