Hertford
Loop (East Coast Express - Part
4)
The East Coast Main Line (ECML)
is the electrified high-speed railway
link between London and the north-east
and further on to Scotland. The
route forms a key artery on the
eastern side of Britain is broadly
paralleled by the A1 trunk road.
It links London, the south-east
and East Anglia with Yorkshire,
the north-east regions and Scotland.
Of
significant importance to the economic
health of a number of areas of the
country, it also handles cross-country,
commuter and local passenger services,
and carries heavy tonnages of freight
traffic.
The
East Coast Express series
represents the ECML on Train Simulator
and Hertford Loop is Part
4 of the this series including 11
stations over 24 miles of track.
You
can run Hertford Loop independently
from East Coast Express part
1 as it includes the stretch
of track from Kings Cross to Hitchin.
If you have part 1 installed
it will automatically join the
route.
New
locomotives include the Class
365 and the 313, both running specifically
on the Hertford Loop.
10
new activities feature the whole
timetable and run through the varying
seasons of the year.
